Photo Policy

Art and Soul Artists are our best ambassadors and we often photograph and/or video artists and/or their artwork during classes or parties for promotional purposes without compensation. These images may be used for marketing and public relations in various settings including, but not limited to: Facebook, Instagram, Art and Soul Art Studio website, flyers, posters, and/or other promotional materials. At no point will a child’s name be used on Art and Soul advertisements/promotions without permission from the child's parent/guardian. Should you decide you do not want your child to be photographed for any reason whatsoever, please alert Art and Soul to this decision in writing prior to the start of class/party.

Weather Closure Policy

We follow the West Milford School District for all weather related closures. If West Milford closes schools due to weather, we will follow suit and cancel any Classes or programming for the same timeframe.

We do not issue credits or refunds for missed classes due to weather closures. We’re a very small, community focused business, and we still incur the same costs of operating the business when there are weather closures as if there were not weather closures.

At the end of each semester there will be one makeup class offered for classes that are cancelled due to weather or cancelled due to the instructor. We greatly appreciate your understanding and support.

No cell phone use policy in classes

To ensure a focused, creative, and respectful environment during our art classes, we kindly ask that all cell phones remain off or on silent and are kept out of sight during class time.

Exceptions: If a student needs to check their phone for emergencies, we ask that they step outside the studio briefly to do so.

Behavior Policy

Our goal is to create a fun, creative space where every child can thrive. To ensure this, we ask students to follow one rule: RESPECT!

  • Respect Others: Be kind and listen.

  • Respect the Studio: Use materials responsibly and clean up.

  • Respect the Teacher: Follow instructions and safety rules.

Disruptive Behavior:

  • First Reminder: The instructor will gently address the behavior.

  • Second Step: Caregiver will be notified if it continues.

  • Final Step: Persistent disruption may result in the child leaving for the session

If disruptive behavior is ongoing and impacts the experience for others, we reserve the right to evaluate whether the class is the best fit for the child at this time.

Thank you for your understanding!

Illness Policy

To keep everyone healthy, please follow these rules for attending classes:

When to Stay Home:

  • If your child has had a fever (100.4°F/38°C or higher) in the last 24 hours.

  • If they show symptoms like coughing, sneezing, sore throat, vomiting, or diarrhea.

Returning to Class:

  • Your child must be fever-free (without medicine) for 24 hours.

  • Symptoms should be much better, and they should feel ready to join in.

  • For contagious illnesses, follow doctor or health guidelines.

Our Prevention Steps:

  • Handwashing or sanitizing is encouraged.

  • We clean surfaces and shared supplies regularly.

  • Small class sizes help reduce germ spread.

Thank you for helping us keep everyone safe!
